a glimpse into our Shooting Stars classroom

Our Shooting Stars room is for children ages 33 months to the first day of Kindergarten. For our younger preschoolers we put an emphasis on learning cooperative play, having fun, and using their imaginations. Our teachers use a structured weekly curriculum that focuses on art, math, science, stories, social skills, and playing. Both our younger and older preschoolers will be provided with educational activities, but our older preschoolers will have more of an emphasis on getting ready for kindergarten. 

As your preschooler gets older, this age presents new challenges, new adventures, and new victories. We will work hard to prepare your child by promoting independence and self-esteem for their next milestone of kindergarten. Our teachers will accomplish this by using a structured weekly curriculum that focuses on art, math, science, social skills, writing, and playing.

We will spend as much time outside as we can, as long as weather permits.  Through this, we hope to encourage children to explore their surroundings as well as participate in small and large muscle activities daily.
